EU Modal Shift Stimulation Programme Marco Polo II with a focus on wagonload traffic
Marco Polo aims at Shippers, Forwarders Transport and Logistics Operators willing to shift freight from road to rail in various action types. Action types include real traffic shifts (Modal Shift) but also into the removal of barriers to use other modes such as rail, inland waterways and short sea shipping. Traffic avoidance through logistical improvements and Common learning actions are each considered in a separate action type.
A rather new focus in modal shift and other actions is wagonload traffic which is honoured with lower entry thresholds. It is essential to keep in mind the character of the programme, as a stimulus in the market compensating for initial losses of new services avoiding distortion of competition with regard to existing services.
The deadline for submission of project proposals under this year's Call is extended to 19 October 2012 by the publication of a corrigendum on the EU website : http://ec.europa.eu/transport/marcopolo/getting-funds/application-packs/2012/index_en.htm
Please contact Stefan Blaas at Süddeutsche Consultants for further details on the application procedure and tailor made advice from the evaluation of your ideas towards the support of your proposal process and the actual funding controlling process. http://www.sued-con.de/3aktuell/newsdetail.php?WEBYEP_DI=29
